The most popular is certainly QQ, and you can dowload it if you want. It can be used in different languages, not just Chinese.

Other than that, Skype is very popular for on line chat and telephony, and so are MSN and Yahoo Messenger. Xanga is not accessible, but Bebo, Myspace, Facebook, are all used regularly by most young people.

We started off on Yahoo Chat, Then MSN, sometimes we talk by microphone on the computer.

She has access to Skype and all the other chat sites, She has a site like My Space but different name (I can't remember it)

Only certain anti-government sites are blocked, they can plug into the total world otherwise.
