i have known a guy thru a social network for over a year. He lives about 45 minutes from me by car . we've never met up but i would like to, we write eachother funny messages and he seems to share my whacky sense of humour. I have invited him to see a show of mine but we never arranged anything. He is a few years younger than me but both in our twenties. Will he ever ask me out or is this a silly fantasy?

To be perfectly honest, you haven't given enough information other than him sharing your sense of humor through messages, so it would be hard for someone to answer this question.
