First question, what is the cost is for establishing and building a website for social networking. Looking to emulate something like guru.com or ifreelance.com. I know this varies a lot but I'm just looking for a ballpark figure.
Next question, what's the best way to create such a website with individual profile accounts, posting projects, discussion boards, payment and invoice features, etc? I know godaddy provides url's and whatnot, but will it let me create items like I previously mentioned?
Next question, how do you promote something like this so that you have lots of members like guru.com or ifreelance.com? I understand the principles of marketing, but you always hear about certain companies/sites being established and making it big. What did they do?
Please answer the questions. Don't give vague, non specific answers.
Question about social network creation?myspace text
A social website will take months to build if you build it yourself. Most web builders charge between $100 to $ 500 per page to build a website. Yahoo has templates that are easy to use. You could do most of the work yourself. I have been working on a business website/blog for 2 months and it will not be completed for months. I placed adds on the site and it produces a small income already. You should start the website and keep adding content and you will make it big. Here is an article on a repairmen that made it big on the net. http://homebizseo.com/Make_money_online/...
