How is a social network like Facebook useful for b2b networking?

I've signed up for LinkedIn, Facebook and MySpace and I want to make sure I get a good number of b2b contacts in each. Does anyone know of a good process for growing your business-oriented social networks?

It's easy for LinkedIn. You just type in your work history and it automatically matches you up with anyone who's worked at that company before. You click off the ones you know and if they approve, they'll become your contacts.

It's more difficult if you're out of the work force. Normally a search through their network by the means of an upgraded premium account will yield some results.

Facebook is a relatively new entrant to the B2B networking scene. It was built mainly for college kids but now those kids are entering the workforce so a lot more people are now using it for business contacts as well. Try finding groups that are relevant to your business and make friends from there.

MySpace, IMHO, is useless for B2B. In fact, I think it's pretty useless overall.
