If Yahoo 360 a blog creation tool/service,/social network then what is Yahoo Geocities for? Shouldnt I be able to publish online documents/HTML pages in 360 then include Yahoo's Text ads from YSM, be able to create and share and send documents/drawings to Group members (yahoo groups) and messenger contacts?

Its easy to do. Yahoo Geocities is a service where you can create your web space, like a web sight. Its a little harder then Yahoo 360 as your dealing with HTML but they do offer easier things like page builder. Geocities can be used to allow others to see whats happening in you life, interest, or anything you want to include there's basically no limits. However unlike 360 with Geocities you cannot allow friends to be connected to the page.

Sure it is making sure that ur web site is not copying and infringing on some other social web site like say answers. my tube or my space. It has to be original.

Yeah, sounds easy, but it's very complicated.

There a bunch of sites out there that have cookie cutter networks that you can buy/license.
well, just having generated user pages with links to other user pages is dead simple - any programmer worth his salt should be able to do this in a week or so. but i guess your site should give users to do "something" and that something could get complicated, depending on your wishes.

Ya, I found this site as well. I signed up and i think they have a unique concept. The site is very well planned and easy to use. It just started up, but the number of members is growing pretty fast. The blogs are a sweet feature and all of the university pages are student generated. When these fill up, they can be very useful for people looking into attending different schools. The social aspect is still there, though the setting is educational, which could help a lot of students out. I think these guys are onto something!
pretty cool concept. i checked out the site and it looks great. a lot of cool features (i.e. apparently students will be able to find jobs and book travel?!?!). also, the deals section is a cool idea to try and help students find cheap items around their schools. it's a new site but i have heard a lot of buzz about it. looks like a winner so far

i have known a guy thru a social network for over a year. He lives about 45 minutes from me by car . we've never met up but i would like to, we write eachother funny messages and he seems to share my whacky sense of humour. I have invited him to see a show of mine but we never arranged anything. He is a few years younger than me but both in our twenties. Will he ever ask me out or is this a silly fantasy?
